I've spent years looking for things worth getting lost in.
Especially the ones you might never think to choose for yourself.
For me, it started with a cherry tree.
There was a perfect fork in the branches that made a seat, and I'd climb up with a book and disappear for hours. No plan. No schedule. Just a place to land and something worth sinking into.
I still love that feeling.
The world gets louder. The days get fuller. But the urge to disappear into something good never really goes away. Life just gets better at interrupting it.
The Not Busy Company exists to make the disappearing part easier.
I've learned that some of the best choices aren't the ones we'd make for ourselves. Good curation shouldn't simply give you more of what you already know. Sometimes it should nudge you sideways into something unexpected. A book you wouldn't have picked up. A puzzle you might have passed by. Something you didn't know you were looking for until it found you.
Every escape starts with the thing at its centre: a book worth following somewhere unexpected, or a puzzle capable of quietly taking over an afternoon.
Then I build everything around it.
Tea worth putting the kettle on for. Coffee worth brewing. Treats worth lingering over. Small details that make the experience feel considered rather than assembled.
